About Us
Situated in the heart of the Medoc, South West of France, 45 minutes drive north of Bordeaux.
We take pride in offering a quiet & calm boutique style chambre d'hotes /Bed & Breakfast 800m from the lake.
We are a carbon neutral business generating our own electricty & geothermically heating our property & hotwater.
With shared terraces & access to heated 9mx5m saltwater swimming pool set in 2000m2 gardens in a quiet private road, 800m from the lake at Hourtin.
A short walk away from the largest Freshwater lake in France; Carcans – Hourtin - Maubuisson lake. A real inland sea covering over 6,000 hectares, at the same time just a 2 minute walk from the Centre of the Ville of Hourtin where you will find all the local amenities and shops. A paradise for cyclists with the pistes 20m away.
We have secure parking with security protected entry system to the property.
Free Wifi, tnt TV, ensuite bathrooms with tea & coffee facilities in every room.
Why not sample one of the numerous restaurants within a short walk of the property, or a night at the cinema. Not forgetting there are over 250 chateau's within a 15 minute drive
With a weekly town market that becomes thrice weekly from April through till October, offering everything from fresh local seafood to regional delights. There is something for eveyone !
For the children there is a safe play area too, with slide & swings located in the grounds of the property.
800m away you will find childrens island "isle des enfants" with numerous activities for all ages.(Playgrounds, Wake park, inflatable castles slides and climbing, Splash park. )
Bicycles are available for hire to explore the many cycle pistes. We also have child seats available.
We can organise Ski-ing, Surfing & Wake boarding aswell as other outdoor activities for your stay too!
We have a wealth of knowledge of the surrounding area.
